999 credit score but keep getting rejected!

Having spoken to the Branch Manager at Halifax, it transpires that someone may have put through an application in my name for "further lending" i.e. increased OD, credit card, or loan, which generated the "Decline" letter I had generated after the 10th credit search against my name.
The original application, however, is still "in an accept state" - so the "decline" letter doesn't refer to this and I'm still approved for my original application which will be made active when they have processed my ID.
The branch manager will be calling me at 5:00PM to advise his progress on the investigation as to what's happened re: unscrupulous applications.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I'm guessing, at this point, that the branch manager didn't call at 5pm....Conjugating the verb 'to be":

The average Experian Credit Score is 783 by the way. Most people don't get 999.

It may be just me, but I cannot find anyone here asking about the average score. Unless it's an allusion to my request earlier for a citation about 999 being the upper 10%, but since your post was in reply to the first poster, and it's not actually a citation, I'm guessing it's not.
But while we have your attention Mr Jones, would you care to address some of the other points raised in this thread? From the post I referenced for example:Now then - why don't you try including those other factors into your credit score?why [are] there are lots of people who've paid to get 999 and get refused credit and can't understand why?Conjugating the verb 'to be":

I think James is just trolling now, he knows plenty of us will bite...Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I somehow doubt the pay scale for that position is anywhere near, say, that of CEO or CFO.
I think you're attributing too much to the fact he has a non-standard job-title.
And the fact remains that he's refused to answer direct questions, whatever his job title is.Conjugating the verb 'to be":

Crimewatch & Watchdog > Experian credit scoreCan I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0
