Google locked Samsung Galaxy

Help.

Had a keypad lock on my Galaxy (an original one 2009).

Failing the keypad sequence it has now given me an option to unlock the phone using my google mail account.

I enter my normal gmail addy and password and it responds one or both entrys are invalid.

I'm convinced the gmail data is correct, I've logged in on PC oik and changed my settings to allow multiple sign ins without issue.

Unable to get back to the keypad lock (which I know) phone goes directly to the google addy and password request.

Any advice?

have you tried the @gmail and @googlemail email address combinations.

other than that I don't know, I remember there was this problem once before about android phones not accepting the correct gmail credentials, try googling for the previous cases.

Terrible phone, I had it up until before xmas!

Try turning it off, hold down the volume down, the call and the power button and keep holding to force the phone into recovery mode which will allow you to do a factory reset.

Or change your password with google to something very simple to ensure it's entered correctly, then change it back once it's done.

Got it working but still can't bloody sign into google to get my contacts/mail

edit, after signing in out and back in again on the pc, the phone then accepted it.

    all sorted , thanks.
