Orange customer service ARGGGGGGGGG!
My son has just had a new phone, on Orange, from carphone warehouse which you had to buy £10 top up on when bought. He wanted to keep his old number(also on Orange) so I phoned to sort this and was told credit would appear on phone up to 48 hrs later. No credit appeared -I have phoned up 4 times in total, last night the lady was supposed to phone me back. I'm still waiting. Is it that complicated to sort this? There's no other way of contacting them no email address on website and I'm about fed up I feel like giving him the tenner to top up myself but its the principle of it. Well now I've got that of my chest I;m off to phone them again. Wish me luck.

The system can take a while to update, CS can't add it for you until they see the auto system has failed (or you'd get it twice!).
There is no point emailing CS at Orange. The team it tiny and they get 1000's a day and are always days and days behind.0 -
We've bought a phone on 31st March and transferred his old number to the new sim and the £10 top up that should have been on the new sim (new number that came with phone ) has not been applied. Have just phoned again to be told might have to take it up with carphone warehouse - if you have to wait to change number til credit has gone on why didn't they tell me that when I phoned about keeping number! I'l know in future so anyone in this situation be warned its probly easier to use an old phone with new sim in to use up the £10 credit than a**se about like this! :mad:Frump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

The systems isn't the best (by a long way). And yes, changing the number before the credit was applied will have royally screwed it up. CPW should never have told you to do it that way round.
It would have been far easer to wait for the credit to appear on the new sim and then transferred that credit to the old sim...
Kick up a fuss in CPW (at a lunchtime or a Saturday afternoon with a shop full of people) they'll offer you something to make you happy !!
Good luck.0 -
