Pity, I like being on holiday from the kitchen as well :p
  • Thought I'd try this on the offchance - I rang their freephone reservations line ( 0800 406070 very MSE :rotfl:) & was thoroughly grilled as to where I'd obtained the code (from a friend...). Pontin's are no longer doing offers like this for 2009 - according to the chap I spoke to they won't be discounting their brochure rates at all, but will be including more "things" within that price. Pontin's pounds (to spend onsite) & hampers were mentioned. A 3 night stay at Brean in October (club grade) was £249,a big jump from £60.

He also said there was no chance of any other centre closing, & that lots of money would be spent on upgrading the 6 parks left, WIFI access was mentioned, along with "better" entertainment.

Glad to hear they won't be closing, but unless I can get an offer/deal Pontin's is now too expensive for me! Sun £9.50 holiday or nothing this year :D

& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin :D

  • Please be aware of the 'hidden' extras.
I found this out to my expense. After taking into account the 'service charge' and the cost of passes (which without you can't use the facililties on site), not forgetting the gas and electric charges. These so called cheapo holidays can actually work out quite expensive. Try the company's website first, especially just now when they are discounting to get your cash in before the season starts.

Different camps have different policies. Just give the one you're looking at a quick ring. Where I used to work they included everything except pool passes

If its correct about Pontins, I'm gutted. We've taken our little ones 6 times now in the last 2 years as they love it, but there's no way we can afford the full price. I can't see that they're going to fill the place up without special offers if they couldn't do it before. Pontins is known for being cheep and cheerful so unless they put in a big marketing campaign to let everyone know what they're doing updating it they won't get the market they're going for.

Have to just hold fire til nearer the summer as snap up the last minute specials when they realise they're empty I guess
hey there's no money but we couldn't be happier if we tried
    £2 coin pot - £92!

Ive booked with Park Resorts at Kessington Beach, £229 for 7 nights in a silver caravan in June & paid with my clubcard points , was offered alternative places with Pontins but they are too far away for us to travel, was really looking forward to this years holiday at Hemsby, the staff and bluecoats were really good, and the area was really nice too.

Hi, are there any more up to date codes available out there? Have tried the S02U one but just says offer finished. Would ideally like to go to Camber middle July but would consider other dates if they are cheap enough! Also, have heared about 'free' pontins holidays and some kind of offer that was in Sundays Daily Star but don't know much about these deals so if anyone has any info on these please let me know! icon10.gif Thanks.
