Just phoned Pontins, as it came up with all manner of bizarre prices online & appeared they had sold out of the offer, but when I phoned up they were very quick and very helpful.

Managed to get a 4 night break in Club accommodation (£100) followed by a 3 night break in Club accomodation (£100) in July @ Brean Sands - I used to go there as a kid, so will be a real nostalgia trip!

Could've opted for Classic @ £60 each break (Club availability has run out at this price for the dates I wanted), but went for Club as it is nearer the amenities (I can't walk too far) and had digital tv (CBeebies to entertain the monsters!), microwave & electric included, so I thought it was worth the extra [*gulp*] £80 overall.

Wish I'd got myself to book it earlier, when the breaks were still available @ £60 each on the dates I needed, but keeping this in perspective - after all, I'm still VERY pleased with a week's holiday in July @ £200 (but not as pleased as the kids will be, I suspect!)

I've just booked a club class for £60 at Brean Sands from 5th - 9th September!! :j So excited - the kids adore Pontins & I can just about cope with 3 days... There are a lot of great places to go nearby, especially Tropiquaria, so I know we'll have a ball even if the weather isn't great! Does mean they'll miss a day of school in their first week back, but if it's a choice between that & no holiday.....

Ooh don't let that bother you; I've taken my kids out for two weeks holiday every school yr since they started. My OH doesn't earn teachers wages and we/they deserve holidays too.
They're 13 and 9 now, both top of their class and DD 13 is at grammar school (98% pass at 11 plus with NO tuiton) and in national gifted and talented youth. It has done them no harm at all, and last year they were also off sick *coughs* for 4 days after I won a 4 night break at haven, went on the monday night, they finished school on the thursday anyway so used 3 nights there. Then won a weekend at pontins so took them on the friday night and had the mon off sick. Stuff it. Oh and we won the darts at pontins and went for the final in Nov, (2 nights) so I took them both out half day Friday for that too, They're not kids long and you don't look gift horses in the mouth. That's my motto! Just make up for it when they are at school! Some kids have a day off here and a day off there which is more detrimental than taking 3 weeks of the year off.
This school yr they've already had a week off in sept and another one due soon to go ski-ing, and if any free haven hols come along later they'll be off sick again!;)
