Wondered if anyone else had noticed their FF4 running slow when NoScript is active? Turned it off and seems alot better imo.

Hi
NoScript is number 20 on Firefox's list of 50 Slow Performing Add-ons.
Here:- https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/performance/#addon-11
It's not one of the add-ons that I use so I can't answer your question.
EDIT
That list is for add-ons that have the most impact on how long it takes Firefox to start up.
So they might not necessarily make Firefox run slowly.Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -

On my main laptop I've got:
Adblock Plus
Stylish
Downthemall
Greasemonkey
I'm finding less use for Stylish & Greasemonkey so can probably disable them.0 -

My 2 in the top 50 are ABP and BetterPrivacy.
I can understand that ABP adds to the startup time because it loads entries from the filter subscriptions.
Plus various other element hiding rules.
But once loaded, ABP improves Firefox performance imho.:)Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -
My FF4 was running really slow so I took a scythe to my add ons leaving only those I considered essential and the performance is OK now.
The thing is all those addons ran just fine on 3.6 so they naffed something up IMO. I tried a beta release a couple of weeks back and that ran OK with the add-ons I was using then.0 -
I have firefox 4 with no script and adblock plus and performance seems quicker than having no addons at all, (likely because ABP stops all the flash adverts loading)0

Noticed I've got Mircosoft.NET Framework Assistant in my addons, don't ever remember adding that, is it important?0

Use the lean mean version of FireFox.0
