CO2/Smoke detector

I'm looking to rent my house out in Scotland and have a quick question about CO/smoke detectors. My house is a 3 bedroom detached bungalow.

At the moment I have 2 detectors in my hall. The hall is 'L' shaped and the first is a smoke detector and is mounted at the top of the wall, half way up the hall between 2 bedrooms. The second is a CO/smoke detector and is mounted at the top of the wall above the cupboard that houses the gas boiler. This is opposite the kitchen door and diagonally opposite the master bedroom.

Both detectors are battery powered. Do I need to have these changed to mains detectors wired together?
