CO2/Smoke detector

I'm looking to rent my house out in Scotland and have a quick question about CO/smoke detectors. My house is a 3 bedroom detached bungalow.
At the moment I have 2 detectors in my hall. The hall is 'L' shaped and the first is a smoke detector and is mounted at the top of the wall, half way up the hall between 2 bedrooms. The second is a CO/smoke detector and is mounted at the top of the wall above the cupboard that houses the gas boiler. This is opposite the kitchen door and diagonally opposite the master bedroom.
Both detectors are battery powered. Do I need to have these changed to mains detectors wired together?

House Buying, Renting & Selling is the place to ask. PM a board guide and they'll move this for you.0

Dont you mean CO, not CO2?0

I certainly do! Edited the body but I cant edit the title! I've since spoken to an electrician. I need one smoke detector within 3 metres of each bedroom and the living room and a CO detector by the boiler cupboard. These aren't linked together and need to be mounted on the ceiling.0

Also I see this has been moved but not where I asked it to be moved to! Nevermind I have the answer now.0
