I bought a chest of drawers from Debenhams online, but when they arrived they were a completely different colour brown than expected. They have said they will refund my money, but I have to pay £75 to return them! I even offered to bring them back myself, but they won't accept that either.

I would attach a photo, but not sure how too! I bought them as in the picture they perfectly matched my floor. In reality, they are nothing like it. Had I seen this, I wouldn't have even given the drawers a 2nd look, let alone buy them in the first place.

I really want to return them, but can't afford £75 for the priviledge. I have emailed them and sent this photo, but they are still not budging.

Mmmm you have my sympathy. I am going through the same problem with them over a Faulty (my words only) table. They will not accept from photographs it is faulty! Consumer Direct tell me they can legally make this fee if mentioned in terms and conditions. I think its terrible and would not buy from them ever again. I am still having the daily internet emails, insisting it is faulty. they too will not budge. Once they have the £75 fee I am certain no supplier will agree that it is supplying faulty goods. I now either lose £200 on a faulty table or £75 for the privelige of having it 3 weeks! I too do not know the answer other than, I repeat......Buyers Beware!

    Hi kgldsun
An update on my situation is after I kept persisting with emails and phone calls and not taking no for an answer. I then wrote a complaints letter to them complete with photo.
I have since had a reply saying they will take back the drawers and refund the money without me paying the £75!
    So you could try that.
Mind you, they haven't picked up the drawers yet or refunded me, so I will wait and see.....
    Hope you have success!
