Is it just me or does this contradict itselfThe impact of the weaker pound, which declined 17% in value in the past two years, means the sterling value of Brent crude oil has risen to a record high of £74.60 per barrel.
But at $121, Brent crude is still below the $147 a barrel record set in the summer of 2008.
So it's a record high now or back in 2008 when it was, erm higher."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -

They'll blame Libya, despite only 2% of our oil coming from that region.......“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Our refinerys like the clean crude oil from Libya and Nigeria. So any failure hits us.I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
Seek legal help if unsure.

The diesel in my local filling station has been put back to 140.9p/l again now.
It went up the day before the budget to 140.9, day after the budget down to 139.9 and now up again.

Most petrol stations around me put there prices down 1p after the budget, but only for a day or so, then started putting them up again.0

At least the rise in HMRC mileage rate will let us extract an extra £500 tax free from our company this year:). The hundred pounds saved won't quite put a tank of fuel in both cars.:rotfl:0
