Cheapest way to call South Korean mobiles & landlines from a UK mobile?

Hi

I need to grab a mobile contract that allows my wife to phone family and friends in S. Korea. Mobiles and Landlines. 5 numbers max.
I wondered if anyone had any experience (especially with calling mobile to mobile from the UK) and what was the best option?

I have also seen some talk of special numbers that allow you to do it from your normal minutes? Is this a viable option too?

Thanks in advance for your help. :D

  • Actually just found this post which explains options other than standard mobile packages: (edit: won't let me post the link as I am new sorry, moneysavingexpert.com/phones/free-international-mobile-call?

But it is 2 years old, so I wonder if there are better mobile options available now?

    Thanks.

A PAYG sim from icardmobile.co.uk charges 4p per min for South Korean landlines and 5p per min for South Korean mobiles.

I have never used this service.

The top two seem not to offer access numbers for calling from mobiles, so the cheapest rate shown is 5p, higher than the above mentioned 4p.
  • Hi all

I found this site after some digging around, seems to be 3p mobile to mobile and 1p mobile to landline.

    Can't post links sorry: ***.cheapcallskorea.info/

If so then that sounds like a real bargain?

I wonder if it is worth a try?
