As well as when bin day is, tell them what the routine is eg where do people put bags/bins, what is recycled and also what time do they usually arrive. I have never overslept on my bin day and never plan to have a lie in on that day either as they could wake the residents on the next planet!Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

the water meter location...we still can not find ours...It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
....And we don't want anyone to realise that we haven't got one!:rotfl:
we phoned them and they had me searching all over the front...believe me its not there...should be fun when the bill arrives..:rotfl:they believe it is on the right side of my drive...it is not.It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?

Im just writing a 'useful information' sheet for the new owners - young FTBs...
Ive included info on the stopcock location/ fusebox/ alarm code/ bin day/ residents association...
Anything else you can think of I need to tell them??
Do you have a garden? If so, it's nice to be told when certain jobs need to be done (e.g in my garden two of them would be - in January, cut all the raspberry canes right down to the ground, otherwise you won't get loads of raspberries in the summer; the climbing roses will need pruning as soon as new growth starts in the early spring, in order to have flowers from early summer; it's the sort of thing that an experienced gardener would know but otherwise not).
PS Lovely idea of yours :A0
