Went looking for the Tetley softpack 160 teabags this afternoon. The ones in my store had extra free in them (think it was 240 instead of 160). Do you know if they'll be matched for DTD?

Yes these are fine i now have 10 packets!

Well, I've had a lovely afternoon in Tesco, NOT....!

I went in today to spend my second voucher. This one was for £18.88 and was from a receipt from last Monday.

My shopping last Monday was partially paid for with a £10.18 voucher.

The store absolutely completely REFUSED to take my voucher, because it was generated from a receipt that had had a DTD on it.

I telephoned customer service, they telephoned the store to say they had to take the voucher.

The store STILL refused to take it, and a duty manager came to see me. She said it was store specific and that they had put a blanket ban on all vouchers if the receipt they had been generated from had been paid for at all with a DTD voucher.

I phoned customer services again, they yet again agreed she was wrong. He spoke to her for about quarter of an hour. She argued with him and still absolutely refused to take it. She said they'd decided and that was that. I am totally lost as to what to do!

I have of course emailed tesco, but am not holding my breath for a reply after reading of others' experiences on here.

    Not happy. :(

Sounds like the manager has lots of shares in Tesco... or just bitter that someone is taking advantage of a promotion.

Why so bitter? If she has any brains at all, she would have joined in on the fun. Will all the inside information on pricing, :D oh man. Even if she don't do it herself, her family members would be raking it.:rotfl:

Clearly they [Tesco] found it hard to make a promise they couldn't keep." Asda Spokesperson.

I say Tesco found it EASY to make promises it still cannot keep.

Print out a copy of the T&C from the price check website and take them with you. If this happens again ask them to show you exactly where in the T&C it says that you can't use it if you have paid with a voucher previously.

Oh and if they get suspicious and ask why you have the T&C say that after what happened last time you went home and checked them so decided to bring them with you in case it happened again.

All Tesco staff should do it, they'd do better than us. I was reading the T&C and it says that the price check is done before their staff discount is considered.

Me too...some guy on the checkout was like this is awesome...how do you do it... I might do that myself...or get the misses to..
