Just as I thought, the first few digits ARE THE SAME!
0 2365 86009659 is from another confirmed joint!

So that's it I think. As long as it says Top Rump and it's barcode starts with 0 2365 it should be a good DTD

Last digit in a barcode is the check digit, the 965 before this is the price £9.65

Got mine Saturday, theres 2 different joints 1 says "t/side-top rump" the other "silverside" both the same price. I haven't tried the ones labelled Silverside but they are the same price. However when you search tesco website for the description asda give on the beef on offer it comes up with the top side top rump medium joint so I stuck with that 1

    I got the silverside!

    DO NOT BUY THE SILVERSIDE
    DO NOT BUY THE SILVERSIDE
    DO NOT BUY THE SILVERSIDE
    DO NOT BUY THE SILVERSIDE

    Buy the TOP RUMP!

    Barcode starts 02365

    Lamb

Just to mention the bar codes don't really help. I had 2 x lamb whole legs confirmed yesterday (Saturday shop)
    1 x New Zealand and 1 x English

When I went into store today, the bar codes are different, and the one in the photo just posted is also different.

However I haven't seen anyone on here have any problems with English or New Zealand lamb whole legs...but I might just have missed it!

Don't even get me started on the beef :o

my guess is that the barcode would be different for all joints as i doubt there are loads that weigh exactly the same & the barcode relates to the total price i would think

Normally what happens with variable prices (as here) is that the first bit relates to the product and the last bit (apart from the VERY last number, which is a 'check digit' for the computer to make sure it's read it right) relates to the price. Hence XXX 9659 means it's for a £9.65 joint, and the XXX 951X above is for £9.51. So you should expect the end of the barcode to be different but for DTD the first bit must be the same.

  • Hello all, this is my first post so please be gentle with me.

Yesterday I checked in store at my Local Asda and Tesco for 2ltr coca cola.

As of yesterday it was on offer in Asda for 2 for £1.50.

In Tesco it was by 2 get 2 free, at the price of £1.78 each total £3.56 for either 2 or 4 bottles.

I only purchased 2 bottles from Tesco, checked my receipt today and has come back as N/A ??

Any ideas as to why perhaps.

PS, Thanks for all the postings on here, only discovered this last Friday and allready have over £35 in vouchers.

This is the biggest load of !!!!!! ever. Me and my mum input our receipts from a shop on saturday, on saturday straight after. We are both still waiting for 2x receipts EACH!!

absolutely ridiculous that other people are getting their vouchers back from sunday shops today?! Obviously the system doesn't work, how "processing" can go array is beyond me, it's a computer system not a conveyor belt in china. Won't be wasting my time doing this again GRRRRRR

Don't stress over it, if it is stressing you that much maybe you shouldn't bother, it is a computer system that is quite possibly checking hundreds of thousands of submissions out of tens of millions of transactions. A good example of how long it can take to process is that the MSE newsletter can take several days to e-mail all it's subscribers, and I am sure Tesco is processing a lot more transactions than that.

I put in a receipt at 6.30pm on Friday from a shopping trip on Tuesday and there is still no sign of it, I put another one in at 5.00pm from a shopping trip on Sunday and it arrived at 2.30pm today, the first one just says still processing.

I have a suspicion that receipts that are a few days old take longer to process as their system has to go back further to retrieve price comparison data.
