In regards to the Clubcard issue, why can't you just get the points added on afterwards from the receipt, once the corresponding coucher has been used so receipt no longer needed for anything, and all DTD is done.
So long as you do that each time, so never actually using your Clubcard at the time of any purchase, then there can't be any tracking implications etc, as everything is done and dusted before the Clubcard comes into it. And for the next voucher and the next and the next, you're still not using your CC until afterwards.
    Am I missing something??

Exactly - they're trying to poach Asda customers who wouldn't necessarily have a clubcard!

We need to stand up to these jobsworths and ask them to prove the s$!t they're shovelling! Ooh they make me mad when they lie about the rules...

    And calm...

I tried today and if a Manager and his Supervisor don't know the rules, what chance have the till staff got? Although I've calmed down now, my phone will be red hot in the morning. :mad:I want an apology from the store for the way I was dealt with. Fancy asking me for money for my shopping?:eek:Have they no shame? ;)

There is a policy, just staff not following it!

Or knowing it. If it was anything like a large Blue Chip company I worked for 'Training' was a swear wordnod.gif

gutted bought these yesterday not knowing they were dtd and put them through with dtd items missed out on £20

Oh well back again tomorrow :p

This thread moves so fast, but this caught my eye!
You got a large pork leg. Was this the long shrink wrapped ones listed as 5.98kg?

I have been looking on asdas website and according to the asda price you quoted and the weight of the joint you bought, I worked this out to be 2.87kg at asda, but on the asda site the only pork joint anywhere near that figure per kg is the pork shoulder joint at 2.68kg.

    Could this be the one?

If you happen to spy this post could you post the barcode if you still have the packaging, thanks

It's entirely possible that you could do this, but as has been mentioned on the thread already, we don't know if they're tracking things via the clubcard as well as email addresses. If they are then they may be able to check transactions retrospectively - many are not willing to risk it - are you?

i was in today too but had no probs at all
i've been lucky so far, although i do stick to the cashiers that i know are ok/am friendly with.i've found a bit of friendly banter/chat goes along way with some cashiers and stick to the same ones.
happy shopping and pleassssssssse leave some for me :rotfl:

QUOTE=burnham1;42730220]thanks myrtleturtle...i couldn't find that info when i looked...good to hear from another burnham DTD'er as well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
today the supervisor who checked thr receipt for the SA questioned that i had used a coupon on my previous shop, i said what am i supposed to do, you give me a receipt, i price check it and you give me a coupon i come and spend it and get a reciept, price check it and do it all over again, i asked if i couldn't do that and she said oh no its ok i just wondered
Most annoying is that last week some new people started at the slimming world club i go to and one was a till supervisor ( not the same one as above) from Tesco who when her friend asked who i was said " oh shes always in the store"...couldn't hide anywhere could I !!!!!!!!![/QUOTE]

Thanks, sorry, didn't see the earlier reply. I'm new to these forums. (I have been avidly logging on to check the latest deals but this was the first time I got caught out by Mr T and needed some avdice form you good people).

At the time I thought about complaining to customer services but thought it might be best to keep my head down incase I spoiled the party for everyone with my Wolf Blass antics.

If this is just a one off jobsworth and nobody else has had the same problem, I think I'll just swallow the £20 hit on DTD so as not to rock the boat.

As long as this is not a common issue, I can always go back tomorrow and buy some more shopping with actual money then resubmit for cashback.

Thanks all for your input. Muchly appreciated.

Boats are meant to rock a little :) It's nice of you to think that way but you shouldn't have to take the hit, also, if you think about it, if you're bringing it their attention then hopefully the 'jobsworth' will be told about it and not do it to anyone else sop really it's your duty to report it to CS.:D
