Sorry, cross purposes. I'll try to explain better...
Some people have had trouble using vouchers without a Clubcard and I think someone recommended picking up an application form and getting a temporary one. I was wondering what the implications of this might be. Anyone done this?0 -

Anyone? Has Mr T rumbled us all and stopped us recycling vouchers to buy more DTD stuff or was I just unlucky to catch a checkout trout on a bad day?
This happened to me yesterday, did 3 cash spends £20, £10 and £21ish, did these first help myself to reciept, then did £21 spend and used a voucher for £17.88 as the till roll came out about a inch she grabbed it and pulled it out, looked at bottom and it did not rip, small chunk missing but the rest was there, dirty look she gave me as she gave me the reciept, so i gave her one back and never said thank you or kiss my a** and walked off :rotfl:wont be going to her again.0 -
How does the temporary Clubcard work if you've already got one but are pretending not to. Do you have to give an address or anything?
I don't believe so.
Think once you "send off your application form", then when the real card arrives, you would be able to transfer the temporary points to the real clubcard.
But of course, you don't need to send the application offThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -

There are no implications - just don't register the temp one0 -

Should not need a Clubcard, I wish stores would not make up their own rules0 -

The joke was I'd previously used a £16 voucher through the tills and my hubby had used a £20 one all without a blooody clubcard in the same store!!!! Tesco get your staff trained properly this has been going on for weeks now......
"If you are a Clubcard customer, you will also have received Clubcard points."
Quite clearly they don't expect you to have a clubcard... plus you can ask (demand?) that they show you exactly where in the T&Cs does it say you have to have a clubcard to use a voucher...0 -
Meant to say earlier -- bought the Finish 56 dishwasher tablets and there is a £2 MOC under the tab. Found it when I was trying to get three lots of dishwasher tablets into two boxes.
It would be rude not to go and buy some more...!!0 -
you caught a jobsworth..
as someone replied earlier you should have asked for another receipt when you was there..
At the time I thought about complaining to customer services but thought it might be best to keep my head down incase I spoiled the party for everyone with my Wolf Blass antics.
If this is just a one off jobsworth and nobody else has had the same problem, I think I'll just swallow the £20 hit on DTD so as not to rock the boat.
As long as this is not a common issue, I can always go back tomorrow and buy some more shopping with actual money then resubmit for cashback.
Thanks all for your input. Muchly appreciated.0
