Sure is.... though if it was me I'd probably drink it and put something cheaper in with the lamb..... but then it is cheap with dtd, so I suggest getting another bottle - one to drink and one to braise the lamb! :rotfl:

I'm not sure on the red wine though I once cooked lamb shanks in red wine and it was way too overpowering, maybe I used too much. Didn't use red wine - used chardonnay! Drank the red stuff with the meal though. My glaze came from M&S on offer - do you remember the 50% voucher off bottles and jars a while back? Cooked mine for 4 1/2 hours.

The beef I saw in Tesco just said Top Side Rump on it, it may have said silverside but not sure.

I think they are 3 different packs, one says rump, next silverside, and other top side, bought 2 one said top rump and the other said silverside. think all 3 work as they are all same kg. description confused me at 1st also.:)

ali jamjar, if you really are from asda, then i have to say you have just made me dislike asda as much as tesco, and like i said, tesco is much closer... also, like the fact i will have a 1p challange at tesco, and if i get overcharged will get dtd back. i may just stick with tesco now :cool:

Well i'm from ASDA and i will shop at where ever i get the best deal, be it DTD or using my discount card. My loyalties lie with my pocket...
