What I find mad about the whole thing is that when Sainsbury's spits out a £6 off a £30 shop voucher or similar, they insist that you submit it with a Nectar card. It's a clear term, it's there from the outset, no-one can argue.
This 'per household' rule is ludicrous due to it's 'unmonitorability'. The terms should read 'per Clubcard' and simply insist on a Clubcard for receipt submission and for purchases.
I have a Clubcard credit card and a seperate regular Clubcard - nothing extraordinary there. I had a Clubcard and was offered a credit card. For whatever reason (I dunno) the two weren't linked and despite them telling me that they'll merge together all Clubcards at the same address, they haven't done so as yet. Bonkers! Great for me and the missus (the same has happened with her) - we get four lots of extra points and money off vouchers per quarter.
If they laid the foundations correctly, they could successfully monitor this, but the whole thing smacks of a knee jerk reaction to Asda claiming that they are cheaper (and in fairness, they probably are) and as such the buildings are wobbly.0 -
You really are incredibly rude! Do you really feel that swearing (even by initials) is necessary?
Stephen Fry
"Take swearing. "The sort of twee person who thinks swearing is in any way a sign of a lack of education or of a lack of verbal interest is just f***ing lunatic," he says. "Or they say, 'It's not necessary.' As if that should stop one doing it. Things not being necessary is what makes life interesting."0 -

Not sure if this has been mentioned before (still catching up). Roses 400g both £2.00 at Tesco and Asda now. Spreadsheet needs updating.

The spreadsheet since I went away is absolutely great. Even better than before. :T
I've changed it now. Welcome back!0 -

Another iPhone tip - download the free Tesco Finder app. It is like an in-store sat-nav and tells you the aisle and shelf (and price/offer) for your desired product. Handy if you're in an unfamiliar store.
You can also pre-build your shopping list in it, and it groups products by aisle for easier shopping.
It needs a data connection as it connects to the live prices. Oh and it scans barcodes with the camera too!
Good idea, but I hope Tesco can't use it to track customers on?
The way they have watching people on CCTV, I wonder if using that app gives Tesco access to your phone number or any other info.0 -

Crikey! It's a great dtd but £10 for a disposable toothbrush! toothbrushes don't last anywhere near three months in my house so I won't be taking a punt on this as even thougth it works, the kids will be asking for them all the time!0 -

I think the CCTV has happened where someone has been spotted by a specific store, and the management have taken personal action. I don't think CCTV tracking is a company policy, and using an I-phone app to track a specific shopper would be very challenging and time consuming.
Given that they can't even price Fairy Liquid properly, I would doubt their technical abilities to achieve this!0
