Am tidying up the spreadsheet atm and am getting conflicting report on what people are seeing when veiwed on a smart phone - could someone with a fancy phone check it out for me....
I need to know if the fresh fruit and veg section is showing in a table with horizontal gridlines only, or both horizontal and vertical (e.g tons of little squares or just lines of text)

1) Not everybody are computer literate.
2) Not every TV viewers have time to press F5 on here.
3) dtd items price changes every day
So can you imagine him saying "come on guys, go to tesco & get youself 2 Gillette Fusion Razors @ £9.99 ea & key in your receipt & you will get your dtd back the next day":rotfl: Or any other items that we know its no longer valid. Guess the TV director will not be inviting him back for his big ego again.
Or he could just explain the trick is to compare supermarket prices before you shop, or whilst. Dont forget ASDA also have a price check offer.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

I'm amazed by the few friends I've told about it who haven't bothered, despite seeing my ridiculously overflowing cupboards
I don't know about everyone else, but the novelty is definately wearing off for me. I'm still DTD'ing but only trying to compare things that I actually need rather than random things I don't. It does take up an awful lot of time. I think I will just do one DTD a week and then use the voucher towards my normal shop, which should be slightly smaller due to items already stocked up on, so I still think I will be saving. TBH I've seen several posts where people have said "I've spent so much money, not sure I'm doing it right" The thing is you do have to speculate to accumulate in this offer - I know I've certainly spent more money than I would have done normally. On balance, I do think it's a good deal but you have to be very serious to want to do it all day every day, but if you do pick up a few DTD's here and there and get only £20 voucher per week - towards a weekly shop, that's a big help.0 -
I don't believe that we are abusing the system. Tesco's have their promotion and we are being savvy making the best out of their campaign. If I thought that I was being unscrupulous  then I wouldn't do this.....
Hence my quote marks.
Personally my justification goes no further than the Cadbury's Eggs that they are advertising as being reduced from £2.50 to £1.00. This I would say is pretty much lying. They were buy 1 get 2 free when they were £2.50, so 83p each, and hence it's a price increase to £1, not a decrease.
If they use low, low tricks like this, then they have to expect the same back.0 -
Ok peoples - test over and the web based version (as opposed to google doc version) of the spread sheet in now fully live and operational. The link is: https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?hl=en_GB&hl=en_GB&key=0AlTY5zCarucZdGtYS29pVEZQTV9sZGgtbWRsejRGLXc&output=html
The second post has been updated with the link. Benefits include:
Being able to view on your mobile phones when actually in tesco (assuming you have web access on your phone),
Unlimited user levels - so no more annoying 50 user max limits (where you couldnt get on to page two etc)
and of course live updates rather than the "at least once a day" - it actually takes about 2-3 mins to update so its "almost" live updates.
I have tried to make the whole thing easier to read, highlighting the catagory titles and putting items in tables rather than text only - still some on going work on it, but should be all good
Let me know what you think and thanks to all the other editiors - you would be amazed how many hours these guys are putting in, I simply fly in for 30 mins here and 30 mins there making it look pretty, but some of these guys are on ALL DAY updating the prices and keeping the whole thing functional - big thanks guys you are saving me a fortune!!!!:T:T0 -

(just incase anyone is like me and couldn't figure out how to get it on to my phone, i emailed it to myself on the computer then opened the link in the email on my phone!:o)0 -
I am new to this and doing my first DTD shop today:) Please could someone confirm ..do I get a seperate receipt for the items that are DTD. Thanks
Yes, Maggie, you have to do 2 separate shop .
1) for your dtd shop
2) for you normal shop like vegetables, etc that are not on dtd.
If you combine you normal shop with the dtd items you will loose out big time!!!:eek:Or he could just explain the trick is to compare supermarket prices before you shop, or whilst. Dont forget ASDA also have a price check offer.
Yes N20, but we all know that its time consuming - comparing tesco.com & asda.com. Not everybody are as dedicated as us:DRIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0
