  • Just back from another DTD shop after having a day off yesterday. Decided to look for the Betty Crocker and Thornton's Eggs for the first time, but they had neither in my store.

The SA was very nice, had to ask her to sign the receipt AGAIN. She said a lot of people were saving money today and I thought "crap, everyone must have read the weekly email," she went on to say that there were loads of people buying £6 eggs... and I thought to myself "that's where they've all gone!"... on B1G2F.. and I was like "oh yeah that's an amazing offer isn't it?!" :rotfl::rotfl:

Also, the Robinson's NAS Barley which is £1.49 on the SEL and has worked for me previously only scanned at £1 today :(

Another Prestwich DTD-er! No lamb, but plenty of salmon and other stuff. This morning there were also Thorntons eggs for the first time since I started looking. I also had the last of the whatever-it-is-called-£1-a-bottle white wine. Celebrate, depends where in Manchester you are, but the Prestwich Tesco is not very far from the metro station and I've not had any problems redeeming the vouchers there -- unless you want to keep your receipt. They are very keen on keeping them with the vouchers.

    oldham/ashton area
    is failsworth the nearest?
thanks for the heads up, i like to keep my receipts and will defo leave the DTd stock at prestwich for u

I don't have the receipts either, I throw my used DTD ones away!

Went to my local tonight with OH and 2 LOs in tow.
I had a voucher and 1 for OH, told him what to do.
SA didnt really know what to do and called supervisor over along with the manager, the same 1 I had monday.
they eventually let us use the voucher but he remembered me and only let me use the 2 vouchers as they were on separate days.
Why do they make you feel like a criminal when you have done nothing wrong?
I wont be going there to spend by £58 voucher!
