If anyone is interested, below is the email I sent to Phillip Clarke. I will let you know of the response I get. Fingers Crossed.

I just re-read it and you didnt make it clear how much DTD you have got back, having spent your £2000. The way its worded leaves it open to interpretation and led me (in my opinion) to believe you had got £2000 back. I would have possibly written;

so, in the last month I have made approximately £2000 of purchases - recieving approximatley £200 back in DTD (I realise this is of course a small amount to a big company, but it is large amount to us).

To be honest the email makes you sound rather guilty and doesnt really give a clear impression of what you want (other than to know if you can shop there and use more vouchers). Its very ranty. Sorry to be critical, but just thought it would be more constructive to you from another persons eyes rather than just shouting "you got what you deserved" at you, like others would. :(. Good luck though, you are obviously doing it for the right reasons, just going about it the wrong way i fear :(

personally I don't think that email does you any favours, I would have called it a fair cop and left it... but good luck in your quest (although for what i'm not exactly sure ;))

Ideally I would like to be able to use £100 a month in my local, and make sure the store manager gets some training in how to be a decent human being. The last part is probably too much to ask, but hey.

In my experience when I spell out what i want it tends to come across as a demand, and the purse strings pull tight. My nature would be to give just facts, but lately I have had better luck with ranty personal emails, that talk more of disappointment, and the hope no one else gets a bad experience.

refused internet vouchers due to fraud and all stores have been told this from the big wigs at tesco.Anyone else had problem with internet vouchers at tesco

Lie, lie their backside on fire!!! as long as you use it to buy the actual product - any superstores will accept your coupon(s). Even Tesco, now all you have to do is contact Dundee & tell them which branch is giving you problems & you might get lucky they might send you money card between £5 to £10 for your trouble.

Below are a list of ways to contact Tesco :-

You can email to my uncle :
philip.clarke@uk.tesco.com or
Customer Service Phone : 0800 505 555 Or customer.service@tesco.co.uk Or

Hey Cherry,

I got a £7 rack of lamb which was about 280g and that was just the right amount for me for my dinner and I'm a 13st male. So work out from that.

As for cooking it I cooked mine using the following method and it was bootiful! Very tender.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

Let the lamb sit out of the fridge for about 10 mins to get to about room temp and dab it with kitchen roll to take away any excess moisture.

Pour a little sunflower oil on it and rub it all over it so it's got a coating of oil all over it and then salt and cracked pepper on it all over.

Get the frying pan on (with no oil in it) and put on the highest heat possible until very hot.

Stick the lamb in the frying pan and sear each side and end, just about 15secs on each raw area and once you've done that lightly wrap it in kitchen foil and stick it in the over for about 40 mins.

Very important about 5 mins before it's due to come out put an empty plate in the oven so when you bring the lamb out of the oven you put it on your heated plate and let it rest for about 6-8 mins before munching in - this lets the juices get absorbed back into the meat and is very juicy and tender.

This made it medium and if your weight of lamb is a little lighter or heavier you may have to adjust the oven time slightly.

Before everyone starts picking holes in my cooking method I'm in no way a good cook by any stretch of the imagination but I know how to make a good steak and using the same kind of method it made the lamb lovely :)

I had a supervisor with a bit of an attitude this morning.

She was called over to process my voucher

said " we know what you are up to , and we think you are abusing the offer"

I looked at her , and said "excuse me?"

she said "You are buying only things that are priced cheaper in Asda , then using your coupon to buy similar purchases "

I found this somewhat rude and said,

"Tesco have stated and advertised that you are cheaper than Asda , yet on my last 3 shops I have been overcharged for my items on all 3 shops , I am actually really annoyed at the way I have been over charged , and , in my opinion , instead of being confrontational a more contrite attitude with extra attention to customer service in an attempt to placate me would be your fastest way to avoid this involving customer services, please process my voucher."

which she did.

These items are no longer a good buy:
Budweiser 6 x 330ml T: £5 (recently reduced from £6.79) A: £4.90 so only a 10p saving.

Plus Torres Vina Sol wine, Asda have just upped their price to £699 to match Mr. T

I have a feeling lots of prices will change in the next few hours.
Tiger
I'm a body double for Claudia Schiffer and i wont get out of bed for less than [STRIKE]£10k per day[/STRIKE] a 1p find

I wish that I could have said all that without stuttering and stammering!
I was hauled away from the till for the second week running, and been made to wait for 20 minutes, while snotty SA rang customer services. No apology or anything when it was proved to be genuine.
All the staff at my Tesco have been told that a voucher without scissors on the side are all fakes!
Wont try there again:mad:

I'm trying to avoid paying cash. At the beginning, being quite sure it wouldn't last, I did 'invest' cash and got two Kindles with a DTD voucher. I've still got one large one left and intend to get some wine for a party with it. Now I tend to be patient and 'recycle' the vouchers, using two each time I shop (separate transactions of course). I haven't yet found the lamb :( but the salmon is a great DTD item so am stocking up on that. Today there was no problem deciding what to buy as I was totally out of white wine. 1st shop was two bottles of Fiano and my first Thornton's egg (none in stock before), 2nd shop was 2 x Fiano and a box of Roses. Both of these were largely paid for in vouchers. Then I did get the cc out and bought 2 x Fiano and a tin of salmon.

Just hope the Fiano is still working today!!

lol i know ive never had so much food in :D
ive started to buy cleaning stuff on offer now the awick stuff, glade candles as know will get used and i always seem to find a scent i like and it gets taken off few months later:eek:
