can someone tell me what the DTD will be for the rack of lamb now that asda have changed it? sorry it's late and can't work this 1 out :D

For every £1 of lamb at tesco it would cost 0.39p at A

so you would get back £1.22 for every £1 you spent

I think thats right anyway please correct me if im wrong :)

Just want to confirm that I'm back from a little shop at Mr T and the Betty Crocker went through at £1.49, the Roses at £4 and the Air Wick Ribbons Smooth Satin & Moon Lily Candle at £6.13. Not sure why some people seem to be getting charged other amounts!
Also the 1.25L bottles of Diet Coke all went through as Diet Coke (not Diet Coke Pizza like some poor person earlier!)
    HTH

PS Was able to put my mind at rest before checking out as our lovely store has 2, (yes, 2!) working scanners :D

Lol that was me with the 'diet coke pizza' ... I might give it another go then, I love my diet coke!
The people in my life: Betty Crocker, Mr. T and Gordon (of Gordon's gin) :T

Just got in from T's (me & my sis did 3 rounds in 2 shops each) and both of my locals are still selling Betty Crocker Pancake mix at 1.49 :j:j

Also, just a heads up the thorntons eggs were being put at the end of the ailse, which normally suggests that they are about to go on offer, so keep an eye out for these tomorrow.

They're already on a multibuy at 2 for £8 - Tesco shows same prices for a delivery for tomorrow.

Day two of school half term over with and I have had to make pancakes for breakfast since Saturday morning. They are only in school for 7 days in April and i dont particularly want to be making pancakes each morning so have just hidden a few of them so they are out of sight ;)

Hi all, just had a MAJOR freezer clearout, binned some old, unrecognisable roasted veg/soup/homemade curry paste combos to make room for the yummy lamb mmm!!!! 5 packs in there now, can't wait to taste it. I might even have room for some Magnums now if they're still on DTD!

Thanks to whoever confirmed that the Colgate brushes are back on :D I use an electric toothbrush but manual ones are always handy for hols and weekends away, not to mention unexpected guests who turn up sans toothbrush. :rotfl: And if Mr T wants to pay me to take them away it'd be rude not to.

Me too, In fact if I see someone tapping into their mobile in T's I automatically think their price checking! Was in T's yesterday and they didnt have some dtd's that I need and I just thought "I wish I had a MSE phone a friend" that I could check prices with!!
I have never ever gone shopping with a list before, but now I discreetly have one in my pocket to refer to, that is until today when I realised most people were going round with a normal shopping list, but when I peeked a look at their's not on had Tesco's £1* Asda 50p dtd £1 written next to each item!
My OH has been going on his own and takes a list that I make for him.He has probably been in T's twice before dtd in 20 years. Today he had slimfast on it with strict instructions that it was on the toiletries aisle. He phoned me up and said he couldnt find the slimfast anywhere. I asked him if he was in the right aisle, he said "Yes I'm with the toilet rolls, you said it was in the toiletries section":rotfl:
Bless him he's trying to learn

MSE phone a friend, brilliant!!! I have called OH once or twice to get him to check the price of something online while I'm in T, he grumbles a bit! :rotfl: p.s. lol @ your OH! :A :rotfl:
I too, met a friend of Martins today in Southport :j:j he looked very confused when I said HI, you are a friend of Martin's arent you? ( whilst eyeing up his comfort exhilirations, lynx and lucozade) he said yes and then about one minute later ( whilst he was eyeing up my kinder eggs, dairylea things, diet coke, jammy dodgers etc) he said Oh hi yeah, have you seen martin lately?. I said, gosh, I see him morning, noon and night!! ;)

so hi to the man in the suit behind me!

LOL, I think he probably meant someone else called Martin! :rotfl:

I have yet to spot another DTDer, I have started obsessively checking everyone else's trollies and I get very embarrassed if I see anyone looking at mine - full of Comfort, Gillette and Betty Crocker! :o :rotfl:

OK, off to continue catching up - 11 pages behind, yikes!

p.s. I miss terryw's posts, am wondering how his romance is going... :)

A word of warning for those who buy diet coke 1.25. Double check you pick up the 1.25 bottle as today OH picked up 5 bottles of 1.25 and one in the same place of 1.5. Just our luck they only scanned the 1.5 bottle x six! These were all together priced at 1.5 but scanned at 1.63 each.!
