However, been looking at various peoples baskets and have yet to find a fellow Martian

I think I'm the only one that's doing DTD at my local Tesco, never have any problem getting anything and never spot DTD items in other people's trolleys/baskets.My daughters are my world0

Forgot dog food this morning when I done my shop so popped back this afternoon an added up my shop with some dtd items. Check out lady gave a knowing ahh as she put though my shopping.
Hi can you tell me is Crawley accepting the vouchers now? My sister lives there and has been too scared to use her voucher (£20) as she read on here that Crawley Three Bridges, Hookwood and somewhere else in Surrey stopped taking them ages ago. Could you tell me which Crawley store you went to please? Many thanks0 -

Wow - thought I was the only one trying to save money in Dorset! I keep surreptitiously looking at what others are buying but haven't seen any signs yet!
Lol, I know! I keep looking in trolleys but no one seems to be at it!
Living in Poole I just assumed all the Sandbanks lot are faaar to rich to be bothered with dtd....my local Tescos is always jam packed with posh motors. Unfortunately I live on the other side of town *sigh*If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!0 -
My Dear Martin,
I really must apologize for troubling you (and your erstwhile posters) so late at night, but I have received so much advise about my personal life that I thought that I would contact you about another matter.
I find that the calibre of the late- night posters to your thread is so much more sensible than those who contribute during the day. Who wants to save 22p DTD when current affairs regarding the economy can be discussed amongst erudite people on the late forum?
I have been tonight to my local watering-hole. "The Happy Shopper" by name. It was virtually empty - only Tim Wetherspoon, the proprietor, and my old chum, Jack Cohen a friend of many years standing, were in the establishment. They were both glum.
I must digress here, on a matter of some general knowledge. Tim has a habit of naming his pubs after the previous user, hence the "Penny Black" is an old post office etc. "The Happy Shopper" is named after a defunct chain of grocery stores, Walter Wilsons by name. Oh, the irony!
"What is up?", I inquired of Tim.
He replied, "Can you not see....the place is empty! Even the blokes who used to smuggle in the home-brew have deserted me. They are all at home drinking other stuff (e.g GUINESS OrRIGINAL 4X440ml Cans £5.29 £3.00 £4.58 £0.71). And I have a full firkin of "Netty-Sneck real-ale going out of date in the cellar below as I have no customers to buy it".
I left both Tim and Jack to discuss their problems together.
The local park which I pass on the way home is usually quite a dangerous place at night. The denizen's drink of choice is something called "White Lightning", but if this is not available meths or formaldehyde is usually acceptable.
Tonight was different. The Queen's English voices that I heard from inside the park were as follows:
"I say my good chap, this really is a rattling good chardonnay"
"Would you care for a Bailey's my dear chum?"
"This Martini extra dry is an amusing little number"
"When you have moment, would you mind passing the salmon sandwiches ( PRINCES RED SALMON 213G £3.98 £1.50 £4.96 -£0.98 but get in quick!)
I made my way home.
My problem is - is the economy on the up or down as i have heard two different views tonight. What can be causing it?
Yours, as ever

Hello All
Well I have been watching this thread for a while but have been trying to figure out how it works. So I did my regular online shop and added a few of the suggested DTD bits, I got a voucher back for just over £11, so I was chuffed to bit for my first go.
Tonight I headed off to Tesco Extra (Gillingham - anyone else shopping there?) and stocked up on more (will post details when I get the reciept back through) although I did panic about just buying DTD items as I felt like a criminal so added a few everyday extras like milk...
Anyway to get to the point, I have a couple of questions that I couldnt see in the "guide" - when you say it doesnt work in Metro or Express stores, do you mean it doesnt recognise the receipts or you cant use the vouchers or both?
Also if I were to get a few of these vouchers for £20, could I use them off one big shop or is it only one per shop?
Thanks :j0 -
thanks, i don't like pancakes so not brought this, got to take a vanish oxi back as it came back N/A hope they refund
you dont have to actually LIKE them :rotfl:
but T 1.49 A 25p so.. 2.50 DTD which may help with voucher total, then give it away, someone with small children? they usually love them..0 -
