Tesco/Asda Pricechecker Thread - part 3

What a palaver! I just bought 160 Tetley's teabags (The ones that are £2 in Asda). They were clearly marked up at £3 in an enormous carton with a huge red price ticket on it. I was charged £3.88 at the till, so went to customer service where they sent someone to rip the £3 sign off the box. Then they gave me £1.76 back and wrote O/C on my receipt and signed it.
I wonder if they will question it if I get a voucher to spend.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.0 -
Not sure if this has been posted previously (and I can't see it on the spreadsheet), but just seen on MS*** DEAL ***
Finish All in 1 Powerball Dishwasher Tablets Lemon (56)PRICE TESCO £12.98
PRICE ASDA £5.00
DTD £15.96NET COST AFTER REFUND £-2.98
Be careful!I must sharpen my brain before I shop! I had my well-worked-out shopping list and as I was walking round I noticed the Finish All-In-1 56 box we had been discussing was on the shelf at £12.98 so (and here was mistake number one) I decided to wing a new list and try this one out to see if it worked. I carefully recalculated that, if this works, 2 Amore Yoghurts, a Vaseline and a bottle of Turner Road would add up to just over my £20 Voucher that I had to spend and would also give me another voucher tomorrow.
Then, on the shelf was a SEL of £9.99 for Turner Road.
So, on the hop again, I recalculated that I should buy the Dishwasher Tabs separately for cash then do a separate transaction using my existing voucher to buy the Turner Road, yoghurts and Vaseline with a Magnum to top it up.
Great, two large vouchers in the making......well, the Dishwasher Tabs scanned at £6.79  I couldn't say I didn't want it cos it was half price so I had to pay for it :rotfl:
Then, inevitably, the Turner Road only scanned as £4.99 :eek: So, I mumbled something about paying for that separately too.
Transaction three will be a bit more lucrative in the voucher department as those items definitely were DTD but that was paid by cash too as it wasn't enough to use my voucher :rotfl:
I'm currently drowning my sorrows with a nice glass of TR wondering what to do with 56 dishwasher tabs that cost me cold hard cash! And £4.99 for a bottle of wine? Not done that since before this promotion started :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Next year we'll be millionaires!0 -

Whereas I live in Tesco world... if I put my postcode into the store locator there are THIRTY stores within 15 miles of us. That includes Express stores but even so, I think it's crazy! And yet it's a 24 mile round trip to the nearest Asda, lol!
Even though I am itching to go every day, and come up with far fetched reasons I need to head in their direction, and when my OH comes up with ideas of things to do with the kids my brain is ticking away....where is the nearest Tesco????0 -

So he keeps pointing out we are not getting £20 free food, it is £20 free food minus the cost of 40 miles round trip to each Tescos!! Spoilsport:(
Thats exactly what my dad said to my mum!

It wont cost you anything!

I might be wrong but I think these were the ones that T's have had at half price, but are going back up to full price tomorrow. Will be trying them tomorrow and will report back.Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

I know this was confirmed on one of the other threads but with 20000+ posts to search through it may be easier for me to ask again:
I think I recall that someone confirmed with Tesco that it's per calendar month (ie March was March, April is April) rather than a calendar month from your first voucher (ie 24 March to 23 April).
Also, is it when you get the voucher or when you use the voucher? If I got a voucher in March and used it in April would that count as March or April?
Just trying to work out best way to spend voucher as may be getting near my £100 depending on what the answer is!
Thanks
Does anyone know the answer to this? My spending strategy depends on the answer0
