Hmm, I'm not sure how filling in another will help. That will mean that Mingle's submitted two sets of responses which is hardly good for the accuracy of the stats. I'd do nothing, frankly. Wait and see what happens.

That's not the OP's problem. You get harrassed and fined for not filling any in - not for filling two in! Let the ONS worry about accurancy of the figures.

I assume that the second completed census would have the same reference number as the first, so the contents would only be counted once.

This is strange as the census door knockers only start today, it was on breakfast tv this morning and is on yahoo.

So the fact that this thread is b.s. let me tell you, i have not sent mine back and i truly hope the person knocking on my door is a blonde babe with all the right curves in all the right places, a reward for my rebellious nature i hope :)

I've just called the helpline and it's useless. In a bit i'll have a word with my housing manager.

    Thanks for all the help!

Surprised you did not get anywhere- i work for the helpline and your query is one of the most straightforward there is. I guess when there are hundreds of people working somewhere for a short time not everyone is that dedicated.

Can I pick your brains please? :)

I've just found out that my elderly mother filled out and posted her census the day she got it - weeks ago!
She didn't realise it had to be filled out on or just after a specific day.

She's worried now that it 'won't count' :(
