That beats the deal I got at Homebase (Three 120L bags for £18.97 (Buy 3, Get £2 off - normally 6.99 each)). I'll need some more soon so keep the deals coming.

Yes it is twiggy I just pulled them out.
I found I had to chop it up a bit with the trowel but I have sown Sunflowers (two kinds), chillis,peppers, toms & marigolds in it & all have come up & are thriving. Planted in it are all the pots,shallotts, & onions & they are happily growing!:)0 -
I use the Wickes Multi-purpose compost. Its fine for potting on seedlings and hanging baskets etc. Its 4 X 75 Litre bags for £13 (Was £12 last year).
It has been fine for me for the last 4/5 years after the B & Q stuff I tried was full of mould and this attacked the seedlings.If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you! :dance:0 -

I suppose at £1.99 for 40l, even if you throw half of it away it's cheap.
