I Have Been Robbed

Today I received an email from a company guys promising me a loan. So I signed up. After I did that, I was then instead giving a load of loan companies for which I know of anyway and also for who will not give me a loan. I cancelled my account with this guys after 5 minutes.

Later today I phoned my bank up to check my balance and I was then shocked to learn that £67.70 had come off my account from this company!

Never once was I informed from there was a charge for joining you this company

I have just read the small print on the site in the terms and it says:
"Cancellation
4.1 A one off joining fee of no more than £74.85 is payable in most cases after you have had an average of 14 days membership and access to the site. If you have not cancelled/terminated your membership with us, you will be automatically charged by a direct charge to the debit/credit card authorised by the member with an ongoing membership fee of £8.89 which is payable monthly until such time as you decide to cancel your membership.
4.2 Under the Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004 you have a right to cancel your application within 14 days of receiving these terms and conditions and receive a refund. If You wish to cancel your application, You must write to us confirming your request to cancel your application, either in writing to: Customer Services, Ezeloans.net, 88 Wood Street, London, EC2V 7RS.
4.3 With regard to payments set up by Credit or Debit Card, if Your payment declines we will attempt to take the payment from the card until we are notified that You wish us to cancel such attempts. Written confirmation may be required"

Does it sound like I will get a refund? I am scared because there is not even a phone number for this company and I feel that I was tricked. Its a lot of money to lose especially after just 5 minutes

The company6 is called http://www.ezeloans.net

Is this a windup? You gave bank details to some guy who e-mailed you out of the blue?

Aberdeenlad - lots of info on net about these people being hard to contact and difficult to cancel.

Info on this link suggests that they will be trying to take the first £8.95 'monthly fee' from you 14 days after you opened your account!

I would be on the phone to your bank trying to have these payments rejected.

Hands up who hasn't done something daft in their life.....

Make sure your bank knows not to pay any futher money to these cowboys, make sure and direct debits are cancelled.

Worth a go at getting some moiney back, but if you don't, then you've learned a lesson the hard way. Sorry, but there are some nasty people out there prepared to con people who are desperate.
