Butlins..

I have only been to Skegness with a variety of ages of children. Yes the fair is poor but if you are willing to spend money on fair their is a traditional fair in Skegness (go after 5pm and the wristbands are much cheaper). For big roller coasters you have ingoldmells just up the road which you can use tesco vouchers (pre-ordered from website) to purchase wristbands.
Great pool but this and entertainment gets really busy - if you want a seat for entertainment you need to queue early. Access to beach from site.
Plenty of little cafe's which are much cheaper for eating just a stroll along the prom to ingoldmells.0 -
Skegness is excellent, so much to do on site and off. We always go in the height of the season and have never queued for entertainment even though it is packed when xfactor etc stars are on, saying that the earlier the better. Theres the usual amusements in the skyline, 2 pools-their indoor pool is brill much better than any we've been to...bars, cafes, go karts, bowling, pool, beach, laser quest, spa...yes you do pay extra for some of thise things but theres butlins own fair and bob land for wee ones ...i could go on and on lol....The other thing about skeggy is the surrounding area. Skegness itself is like a little mini blackpool but better as it has a pleasure beach but its still a traditional bucket and spade resort and fantasy island at ingoldmells is A1....market stalls mixed in with fairground..both are 5 mins drive in either direction of butlins...have fun0
