Butlins..

Hi,i,ve been fortunate to win a choice of a 3or4 night stay at any of the 3 Butlins camps in a competition i entered.I,ve been on their website and took the virtual tours of each camp, can anyone advise me through experience of which one i should go for.For travel distance i was maybe looking at Skegness, thanks in advance.

The fairground at Skeg is a bit naff, I have friends who go to Minehead even tho Skeg is closer. If you're not bothered about the fair they're all pretty much the same.

My vote would be minehead without a doubt, the beach is right over the road from Butlins. A small shopping area down the road. Plus if you have a car there are lots of lovely villages local to visit.
Well done on your win, have a great time xxx

Only ever been to the one in Minehead numerous occasions as it's directly by the beach with the shops in walking distance, even though I think Skegness is slightly closer to us. A friend's been to the one in Skegness once or twice, but by the sounds of it they're pretty similar camp wise so have fun :)

Been to all 3 of them. Minehead was the worst i came across basically because they still have the old chalet blocks which are dire. If you have kids there is much more to do in Skegness than in Bognor or Minehead.

Skegness i would say is the best, also has outdoor pool that the others dont.

I love Skeg too, the beach runs right along the back of it. If you want a better fair there is Fantasy Island minutes down the road.
    Gone ... or have I?
