Can you throw me some quick pointers of help you lovely lot.
I won a prize a while back (won in Feb) and I have basically been a thorn in their side constantly asking where my prize is. I have never ever been rude, just persistent. The postman has just left a card (my post is getting later and later) to say they couldn't deliver a parcel as its short of £1.12 postage.
I bet its this company as they said it may come this week !
Should I just pay or should I go and get it and then tell them I had to pay and ask for the postage. Its not the amount it really seems the principle to me as I have really struggled to get this prize.~ Smile and light up your world ~~ ask, believe, receive ~0 -
Is it something that might be in a slightly large envelope? I had a birthday card sent recently which was in an envelope *just* larger than the newish rules allow for 1 first class stamp. I had to pay £1.12 - £1.00 for the handling fee and 12p for the extra postage. My post office will let you look at the envelope and decide whether you want it or not (once also had this with a local health club who forgot to put postage on their flyers! I was not happy but the PO told me I didn't have to take it, they'd return it to the sender if I refused it).
I'd go down out of curiosity to pay/collect it but it might just be someone who has sent you something not realising their envelope is too big for just a first class stamp.Hmmmm, need new siggie :cool:0 -
Thanks Bonnie - I shall go tomorrow morning and have a looksy at it first.
Thanks for your help :T~ Smile and light up your world ~~ ask, believe, receive ~0 -
i always just work through the comps by "new topic", bookmark all the ones i want to enter into months by closing date which then puts them all into date order, then actually enter them when i get a chance. in theory this tends to keep me up to date and on top of any with short closing date. hope this helps.
That's exactly what I do. I start each day by going back through the comps posted since my visit the day before, save any I want to enter into 'Favourites' in folders named as months. I'm currently working on the June folder (obviously) and try to get a couple of days ahead if not more to make up for the hundreds that end on the 30th.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

I'm thinking about spending some of the time I waste every day doing some comps. What's the best way to start? Do people still use roboform (or whatever it's called), or is there something better about now?
Also, if you guys could start again, how would you do it? Smash through pages and pages on here, entering everything you wouldn't mind winning, or spending a lot less time and only entering comps that you really wanted to win?
I'd like to hear your views. I bet it can become a 2nd job if you let it haha0 -
Best way to start is to read the 'Guide to comping' sticky at the top of the board. Lots of helpful tips in there.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

is there a tool that fills forms out for you automatic, what does everyone use or is it better to fill you own details in for competitions0

Do I have to pay to use it? I got the impression that other people use it for free? I tried deleting loads of my logins - which I had only set up cos I didnt really understand the system - I use the same password for all comps so dont need a record on Roboform of all the logins! - then I tried downloading roboform again, but every time I try to use it it tells me my trial period has run out!
Any advice??
Thanks!
I had this yesterday, deleted 3 of my logins and it works again nowHTH
