well, i normally do that weeowens, but, after todays discussions/revalations i'm beginning to think it doesn't matter much any more, as cc said not many visit the comps disc so we get more help if we need it by posting on the main board
then it can be moved

Hi,no problems Fire-Fly.In my own silly way I meant it as a bit of kidding & no criticism was meant.I appreciated you normally do pm a BG & thanks for doing that.

I know not many go in to discussion myself as I mentioned it in a post re a dodgy site that I bumped over about five threads a few months back.

hi weeowens, no criticism was taken & i thank you for taking the time to send it to a bg, it just goes to show what a lot of posters have been saying for ages, lots post on the main board as opposed to the 'sub' stickies (or whatever there'd called)
regarding help/info etc & that more peeps will help when it's posted on the main board

I think it's just that the majority come to MSE comps just to enter comps.The other "stuff" is a sideshow that does not have any interest for them probably.
I'm not sure if we should abandon discussion too much though.Maybe a if we can get the general membership to pop in there more the issue would be lessened.

Re the above I do see where you are coming from but I'd just rather not see the main board getting too many discussion related posts on.The BG team are there for us but too many discussion posts on the main board & it will dilute it's clarity & create more work for the bG team.
I do see how quickly things can be broadcast to all via the main board but it's something we just need to consider.

not all newbies/some oldies visit comps disc,
& agree lots visit here just to enter the comps

Has anyone here ever won any of the instant wins on either of the look, nowmagazine, pickmeup and whatsontv comp sites.

Its just that I want to know if the screen suddenly looks really different or if its more subtle, because I tend to rush through them sometimes as there are so many of them and I worry that I might just miss it if I did win.
