Quick question pls if y'all don't mind. I'm in the process right now in signing up to facebook  Must I have 'friends' or something or can my account be 'bare'? I'm asking because I've seen threads with people saying, "add me please" Thanks.

I'm only signing up so I can enter comps ;)

if your opening an account and leaving it bare, you will find it hard to enter f/b comps as i see a lot of them on my newsfeed ie from my friends :)
  • im new to FB comps if anyone wants to add me as a friend, its only a extra account not my real one so it contains no personal info

A big thanks to all the comp posters for their effort
  • I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I've blogged about how to get started entering comps on Twitter and thought it might be useful for any Twitter newbies! (sorry, I still can't post links here!)

I have posted this quote here from another thread because I didn't want to bump the post, it concerns the recent multiple Denis comp post's

This does in fact make perfect sense and was something that was always done with the Bauer radio station comps where you could make multiple entries for the same prize from the different radio stations

maybe this could be implemented for the denis comps? and any other similar comps (don't think there are many)

as Scorpioangel say's it would make it easier for the OP to post the comp in one post, and it would also make it easier for mse'rs to enter them

the only problem with the above is that unless the same poster post's the complete set of comps each and every time there could be problems, as was sometimes the case with the Bauer radio station comps, where someone would just post one comp from the complete set :(

at present it is up to each individual poster how they post these type of comps and the above is just a suggestion

to be quite frank I'm not really bothered how a comp is posted just as long as someone post's it, so if you are reading this weeowens it's entirely up to you how you post the Denis comps

one final word after posting the Denis set of comps it made me realise how much time and effort weeowens puts into posting them and however they decide to post them in future they will be greatly appreciated as are all posters who post competitions

I must admit I used to get in a bit of a mess with the Dennis comps until weeowens kindly started adding the magazine title into the header. It's fine now until someone else posts them and doesn't do it that way. I realsie that's down to the way that I comp though, so no biggie for me if they're in one post.

If they were all in one post and you didn't have time to enter them all in one go, would you be able to tell which one's you had entered?

    Cheers for the thanks Amilucky?

I've no issues with posting each one on its own,if others are ok with that.

The Bauer comps are a little different though as it one entry only, via your nearest appicable Bauer station. They are not multiple entry like Dennis.
  • i prefer them all separate. like someone says above, i may not necessarily have time to do them all if they were all in the same post but can leave and pick up whenever when they are done separately

Another problem with the Denis comps, as most people know, is the intermittent non-accessibility where, at any given time, some people can access them but others get errors but all is OK if you come back later. If they were all posted in one post, you would have to make notes of which ones you couldn't enter and need to come back to.
Much easier when they are separate posts and you just book-mark any problem ones.
