Hi there. I am just returning to comping after a very lengthy break and have noticed that facebook seems to be popular for comps now... yikes!!

I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on whether to set up a fb account for comps only, what to call myself on the account etc....

Sorry if these are daft questions, I have dug around on the boards a bit to see if I could find some advice on this, but don't think I was looking in the right place!! :o

    Thank you!
Thank you so much to all that post comps you are all :A

FB is pretty good for comps, (Tho' I'd avoid the voting / most likes ones unless you thrive on stress !) there's even a thread on there where folk list the comps...
    http://www.facebook.com/pages/Competition-Club/143300759059767?sk=wall :)

;) As far as a name goes, some folk advise against using the MSE bit in your name as it's then obvious to the promoters you're only there for the comps . However, I heard that after I set up my comping FB and it hasn't held me back :D!
Apparently FB insists on folk using real names, but there are so many on there there seems to be no evidence of them even attempting to enforce it :rotfl:.
If you later decide to communicate with other RL friends via FB, you may even decide to set up a personal one so their newsfeeds aren't clogged up by your comping. They can get cheesed off :(!

Dive on in & have fun

(There's even a thread on here for adding comping friends, but I can't find it...:o)

I started up a FB account just the other day purely for comping and today manage to friend many mse users and they sure are helpfull posters and share lots, so i would recommend starting one up ist very easy and well worth it :D
