Have you had your crumble yet Alfie? I organised DD to make ours - it was very good but I'm full up now. DD is full of herself as ever since she was little she has said she wants to be a vet but lately she has doubted whether she will be bright enough (her brother doesn't help with his comments). She has just had a guidance meeting to pick her subjects and teacher told her there shouldn't be any reason she won't get enough qualifications. Wish her brother was as ambitious.

Yep sheils - full up can;t move :p Couldnt manage it all!!!

Your kids are so like mine used to be. Tell your daughter to reach for the stars, whatever she want to do, if she has the will then she can achieve whatever she wants. My daughter also had the brother on the sideline lol (:D). I don't think really it's 100% to do with being bright enough, tho i guess qualifications have to help, but more strength of character, knowing you can deal with everything re animals, ups, downs, happiness, sadness. Also how about becoming a veterinary nurse - so important in the way of things. Or all the animal charities - you know - they have so many wonderful people doing such a good job. There are so many options open. Fingers crossed. xxx

We wnt thru the same here with my daughter, for years yearned to be a vet, then she became involved with special needs children (both her and her brother worked every summer holiday with the kiddies for a few years - days out, looking after them, giving the parents a wee break - all organised by a charity).

Anyway to cut a long story short daughter, after a lot of soul searching went on to become a speech therapist and also trained to become a teacher. Something she's never regretted. She found her path in life. ps she still loves animals, grown up with them. Now she has a wonderful dog who we all adore and a career she loves. You never can tell whats gonna happen in life.

I'm really full now, i can't move - how about you? :o xxxx

Happy birthday rexy & diddlepops :bdaycake:  xx

Esther, hope your DD has a great time at the prom :) I've got all that to come in a few yrs!

pms, hope your dd's SATS went well. Congrats on the wins! :j My dd had her last SATS exam today so I took her out to seaside for a treat. She still likes the soft play area....the big slides, ball pools & bouncy castle so was taking her there first with her little sis so they could play and run around but the woman wouldnt let her play as she was too tall (usually up to 12 yr olds) so she had to sit all through and watch her sis play :o
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!
  • A year ago I never baked a thing, what a difference having a HUGE kitchen can make lol!
