Friends brought me back an amazing glass bottle stop from Venice as a gift for looking after their hamster (which was nearly eaten by cat on day 17:whistle:) anyhooo.

Cut to two hours later DS "What's in the box mum?"

"Oh it's a lovely bottle stop, look"

Said child then examines contents of the box "What's that for mum?"

"You put it in the top of a bottle of wine to stop what is left from going off and being undrinkable."

Said child then sniffs and scoffs "You don't need one of them, you never leave any wine in a bottle".;):rotfl::embarasse

At which point OH leaves the room laughing!!!

Please feel free to add any pictures that sum up the image:rotfl:.

    Hello,

I have just started comping and wanted to introduce myself.

Can I ask you if any of you have comping fb accounts? If so, when you are doing competitions, do the promoters look to see if you have any friends or not? Would the fact that I haven't got any friends (lol) affect me winning?

Hi Skippy - had a lovely weekend thanks. Was staying at Washington Hol Inn so visited S. Shields etc before going to Middlesbrough Premier Inn via Dalton Park and Seaham. Visited Saltburn too - great fish and chips there! The breakfast at the Premier Inn was wonderful believe it or not!!!! We were really impressed.

    I don't need a bottle stop either I'm afraid.:o

OOOHHH Saltburn. Grew up in that area, lived in Loftus and Brotton (next two villages, and many more besides). Brings back many childhood memories of birthday parties on Saltburn beach and putting pennies in the slots on the pier. Ah childhood.

Bet there was a fair old cold wind blowing off that North Sea if the memory serves me right;).

Thanks for replying!!! Glad to hear that it is possible. I just wondered as some of them ask you to post it on your wall and if there is noone to read it, I thought that they might exclude you!!!

    Tenth Anniversary
I had a lovely day today, we went to Heaton Park where even though the wind was really strong the weather was lovely :) Then went into Manchester for a little while :) Such a lovely day, don't want to go back to work tomorrow :(
