    Hi ,
I can see your OHs point about the holidays Becki but you can dream can't you. Moving/buying houses is sooooo expensive. I have lived in the same one for 29 years! It has been extended by a double ensuite bedroom and a single bedroom but even that would be cheap compared with moving costs. It is just over 4 weeks until we go to Tenerife now :j. We all love it there.

Hope your car is fixed soon LadyM!

Hi all, no wins here today, it's getting to be a habit! Heard from my Daughter last night to say they had boarded the QM2. I went to the Cunard website to see what time they sailed and it said that as it was Labor Day in America the NY Harbour Webcam was going to focus on the QM2, so at 10pm our time I watched the ship sail out of the harbour, past the Statue of Liberty and under the Brooklyn Bridge out to sea. It seemed really weird to think that Jo was on it. 14 weeks to go until I give up work for ever, seems so far off but it's down to double figures in days (98) not that I'm counting :D

Sounds really exciting Sue - both things! DH missed out on his countdown as he had problems with his neck/back and had to go a lot earlier than expected. I just never went back after my daughter was born (4th child) and luckily don't need to now. Have you a big celebration planned?

No, nothing planned. I'm being a bit cheeky really and going early (58). My DH is 65 in December but doesn't want to retire, so he's taking his pension but continuing to work. His Lump Sum will more than clear the mortgage and as my salary pays that with about £200 over (I'm Part Time) and my pension from work will be about £200 per month, we won't be any worse off. I've been there (Eurotunnel) for about 16 years now and I've had enough. Plus I have my 85 year old Dad who's disabled to look after and his health hasn't been too good recently. I can't wait.
