Thanks Kidcat will have a go this evening.
Cooking is a chore at times isn't it but you do seem to have it sussed. I usually end up cooking every day but I do freeze some meals for when I cbas'd.
Today we have had pork casserole (with whoopsied pork pieces) in the slow cooker and there is some to freeze.
Have a good evening and thanks again for the info.

Fletch, does your machine have a filter thing that needs to be cleared? Mine did this when it was blocked. Google clean filter for your model. You need to use the drain setting first and have some towels for the mess.

It smelled very mouldy very old ! I used tons of fabric conditioner and got the clothes out the very minute it stopped, and that helped. The new machine I got somebody to fit it. I think I married your husband's clone!0

hi all
Right-got the washing machine on a 95 degree wash with soda crystals in the drum and vinegar in the dispenser.
I'll let you know how I get on.

Thanks agnuk, will be trying the Durham Times recipe tomorrow.
Have done an inventory of the fridge and freezer and now need to inventory the cupboards. I can then meal plan for the rest of the month. That will be a bit of a challenge as I usually only plan for one week at a time.
Rain stopped whilst we had the BBQ for DD and has now started again, the garden will be lush after this.I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.

Hi, to those of you who find gammon cheaper than buying ham, how do you cut it thinly? Do you use a slicer? Even with an electric knife I find it hard to cut any meat (or bread) thin. Much prefer the taste though, so would love to make it a bargain. I find that Morrisons value pork joint - the one that is in with the bacon and gammon joints, not with the meat - is as good as the more expensive ones.Second purse £101/100

I am just back from a very drunken day at Twickenham....sit down ladies I am about to shock the pants off you. How much do you think a cheeseburger and chips together with a bottle of water cost in the stadium today???
£10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
That is nearly my weeks shopping bill in one "meal". Thank god I was prepared to be ripped off - but even I was shocked by how much0 -
OMG that's terrible, still a treat is a treat for that reason, you don't or can't do it every day. Hope it was worth every penny! (the whole day, not just the catering
)

It is always a top day out but going to the rugby is very expensive. It was good to catch up with some old friends too.
Looks like its bread and jam from now on though!!! And yes, it was worth every penny. x0 -

I had to come out of lurkdom to try and give you a boost as I don't like to see people being disappointed in themselves and all you regular posters give a huge amount of help to us lurkers.
Thank you
