Mardatha...how right you are....swedes are turnips to us ( but then they call them rutabegas in US!!)and white turnips are white turnips IYKWIM! Grew w.turnips one year to save a bit of space and gave them to the neighbours sheep as nobody here would touch them.
Lots of cherry tomatoes taking a while to ripen....might use your early variety next year...can't remember the name though...lettuce, onions and some cabbage all we have at present but things coming on ok, can't wait for peas as there is nothing like a fresh pea.

Just been back to Dunelm mill to get Dd a birthday present - 59..99 quilt cover for 8 pounds :T got a couple of wastepaper bins for 99p, 2 cd storage boxes for 49p and a flowery apron for 97p (xmas pressie - don't shout at me for mentioning xmas  ) All in all very pleased with my buys.
OH saw a lovely camper van drive past us and talked about us moving into one and driving round the country - fab idea but I said we would need a trailer for all my craft stuff. I actually think its possible and if we sold all our stuff we would be quite comfortably off. What a nice life style , of course we would have to keep coming back to see DGs or just kidnap him before we go.
Just off into the garden to get some bits and bobs done, Mardatha do you think I could grow tomatoes all year round indoors with the double glazing?? I may well have a go as OH is mad on hm salsa at the mo and its a great way off getting veg in us both (minus the chilli's that is)Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0
