As The Workhouse Approaches....How To Do Everything To Avoid It, the Old Style Way

I think it has been the terrible winter that has pushed the plants into such bumper crops this year Haribo. Don't know how much truth in science there is in that theory, but it suits meIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

I've noticed in the past few weeks that if I change my surfing pattern, the ads on my browser seem to pick up on what I've been viewing, e.g. fashion for larger ladies, property for sale in a particular area. I suspect maybe a tracking cookie has got into the works. However I've just been researching Irritable Bowel Disease for someone and two minutes ago I received an email from Crohns and Colitis UK asking me to support IBD Day. Which means someone is also able to get my email address and tie it to what I've been surfing. It's more disturbing as I use a Mac, famous for being impervious to viruses (although I use a machine with anti virus for online banking etc). Part of me finds it slightly creepy, as if someone is watching over my shoulder ("We control every aspect of your life...") but part of me finds it amusing because I often research the weirdest things, especially if I'm writing fiction and need to check little details. I hate to think what anyone would make of me, based on my surfing patterns.0

Have you heard of this movement?

Not sure how good it is but might be worth a go to get access to some growing space (and some breathing space, from the sound of the size of your flat!)0 -

If you use google email, they sell the content of your email to advertisers for skimming. Advertisers will look for phrases, "e.g. I'm thinking of buying a compact digital camera" and then give you camera ads.0 -
mrs wive you have to be careful with Tescos.. today I found that the value dried prunes were 19 p dearer than the same sized packet of ordinary.. i just wish shopping wouldnt take so long. havng to go from shop to shop to get one item here , one there cos its cheaper etc etc.. takes ages rather than 5 mins like it used to
I know what you mean, I have shopped online for ages, but I am now finding a lot of the things I order are out of stock, especilally the value items, so am having to go to the supermarket any way.
Maybe I'm going to have to shop in a different way.0 -

Thanks for the link, it dosen't actually say how much to put in the machine to give it a good clean. I don't want to use it for any clothes.
Thanks

Dont quote me on that but its somewhere around that price. Morrisons also often have deals on FR eggs too. As in non value. Also, always check the eggs wherever you shop. If the number starts with a 1 then they are free range even if not advertised as such. 0 is organic and 3 is poor !!!!!!s!!
Today has been a pants day but the OH spent last night with me and went home tonight from work and said how empty the house was. Wonder how FK will be when we go over at the weekend. Oh and whilst at work some nice sensitive soul pointed out to the OH that OBB was the last link to his wife! Like he hadnt thought of that one so that set him off when I saw him. I think a trip to "tree" is in order for him.
Last night I realised I had photos of OBB always stealing our food. How many other cats have a thing for hot spicy food????:rotfl:0 -

I throw a good size hand full in then set machine to wash on very hot. I was wondering if something similar would work on the DW but assume it would be way to foamy!!:)0 -

Thanks Charis...you've reminded me time to "cleanse" those tracking cookies - as I am also getting all sortsa ads coming up on various sites which are related to things I've been looking up.0
