Fog lights when there is no fog???

It's usually the kiddy racers thinking they look cool or the people with the big expensive cars round here thinking it's a status symbol.
I've hardly ever used mine and don't even know which button is the front fogs and which one operates the rear fogs. I'm just so uncool!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

The problem is made worse by the fact that the lights are usually just fitted in a couple of holes in a plastic bumper so they are never aligned properly in the first place and end up pointing anywhere.0

Completely agree!! Rear fog lights when there is no fog drives me insane!! Equally frustrating is the number of vehicles on the road these days with just one headlight working. Especially noticable where I live in the sticks and during the dark winter months. Are these people just too damn lazy to go and get a new bulb!?! To make matters worse most of them then try to compensate for the missing dipped headlight by using their front foglights as compensation!!! Arrghhhh!!!0

I put my rear one on a slow down a bit when I have one of this lot behind me. Seems like the safe thing to do when there's apparently poor visibility

maybe this is just me being an idiot or perhaps i just have an old car - i don't think i can selectively turn on rear fog lights.....? if it was foggy, i'd put them (as in the only switch i have in the car) on if no-one was in front of me, but on country roads, leave them on if someone was behind so that i could still see..... very confused about what is sensible now. will be checking the car manual to see if i'm a moron or if my car is just not that flashy!:happyhear0

Can I just say that until I'd read this thread I never realised you had fog lights at the back too

Can I also say that I've never actually driven in fog (we just don't get in round these parts) so I've not endangered anyone by not having my rear fog lights on

I like people who drive around with their foglights on in inappropriate situations. It enables me to spot those who think they are "Special" and avoid their retardedness.

What's going on? I thought it might be some trendy 'I've got two sets of lights. How cool is that' thing going on.
Because they are stupid. I hardly ever have my fog lights on but there again some people seem to think that they are "little bit misty" or "Slightly grotty weather" lights.Iva started Dec 2018.0
