driving in rush hour, am a bit 'frazzled' now !

It gets worse the second ad third times too.
I used to do 60,000 miles per year and thus had 3 rear enders in 3 years. Some companies cannot even quote if you have more than 2 accidents in 5 years.0 -
If it was me who had the tailgator behind.. I'd slam on my brakes forcing the tailgator to rear end my car thus causing me great back pain and whiplash which would result in a rush to hospital.
Why? That's what the tailgator deserves.
I couldn't give a hoot what peoples opinions of that are. I'd gladly cause a crash to spite someone else, someone else whom wishes to put my life at risk by tailgating me in the first place.
That is possibly one of the stupidest things I've ever heard anyone say, and I have unfortunately met a fair few fools....0 -

There have been many, many posts on these forums about it.
I believe you. :jWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
To me it was absolutely obvious that Lum was saying that if you are going to have an accident, moving into the hardshoulder as an evasive manouver is the sensible thing to do.
I rarely get tailgated these days ... I think because I drive a new car. I drive around 600 miles a week. If I do get tailgated I must admit I tend to move over as soon as I can then call him a !!!!!! on the way past. Always leave a decent gap in front of you. You can only change your own driving technique and not that of others so drive within your ability and safely as possible.
I must admit - rush hour doesn't bother me at all.House saving Targets:

There have been quite a lot of posts on this Elky, it can put your premium up even if its not your fault.Plus, what about passengers in the tailgating car and any other vehicle either of you may hit after the impact?0

If the driver of the car is tailgating, I really don't think they have their passengers safety in mind or anyone elses safety for that matter.
A lot of people seem to think it's acceptable for tailgators to put other road users life a risk. Not only are they increasing the risk of a crash by tailgating the car infront but also every other car around and pedestrians.
My first car accident was the result of a tailgator (on the motorway) and no actions of mine could have prevented it. As far as I'm concerned.. I seriously couldn't care about their safety or welbeing if they can't care about it themselves. We’ve had to remove your signature. Yeah I agree, they are being numpties but doing what you described would make you just as bad.I hate being tailgated too, no need for it.If they want to go faster just overtake me.0

Anything puts up insurance now:eek: When I changed from my (modified) Celica on which they were charging an arm & a leg for the mods to my new (to me) Tigra TT they wanted an extra premium as I was not used to the new car and therefore more at risk of having an accident. :rotfl::rotfl: Good job I only had a couple of months until renewal.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0
