TESCO Voucher Exchange is back

  • This morning I exchanged £10 in vouchers for a £20 e-voucher to spend on "Small Domestic Appliances" after following the tesco link to see which products were included in the exchange. The hand blender I wanted was one of the items shown, at £19.97, so I went ahead and exchanged my vouchers and tried to use the e-voucher to purchase it. Oh no, not possible, you must spend at least £20, even if you don't give a hoot about the 3p change. There is nothing else I want to buy in "Small Appliances" so what do I do now?? I called customer services who were very unhelpful and stated I couldn't use them for a £19.97 spend, I would have to buy another item also if I wanted that hand blender to take it over £20. I said there's nothing else I want so can I have my clubcard vouchers converted back, answer - NO. What am I supposed to do with them now? I fel like I've been mugged! BEWARE

is it this stick blender your wanting:
    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.203-4542.aspx

could you put £9 towards it and get this philips one:
    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.209-7488.aspx

or im wondering if this would work, one of these for £3
    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-0690.aspx

if you add the £3 thing to your basket then see if your voucher works at the checkout,

i had the same problem yesterday with the things that i wanted, just had to choose a few different things then i ended up paying £4 towards the total cost,
    i choose £130 of stuff.

Does anybody know if luggage is included? It says it's excluded in the clothing category however if you click through to the toys and camping from the clubcard exchange site luggage is there (and isn't in the clothing department)

I doubled up some vouchers online for a mobile phone.

The phone was in stock and in my basket awaiting for the ecoupons to be sent to me by email. When I got them I clicked to go to checkout and I was then informed the phone was no longer in stock.

I rang Tesco. They said the ecoupons cannot be exchanged for anything else other than a phone and they will not convert them back to ordinary vouchers.

If the phone does not come back into stock before mid May I have lost my money. I have rung Tesco Direct and Tesco Clubcard and they are unable to offer me any alternative other than order another phone which I do not want.

Oh how annoying about the removal of many baby products (only clothes, Pampers nappies & furniture left in), I was eyeing up another babygate. Never mind, I'll stockpile the Pampers!

  • Whilst cutting the lawn yesterday my ancient lawnmower finally packed in. Great timing as these are included in the offer. Checked online, found the one I wanted, went instore to order. In the time between the SA getting the item up on screen and double checking the description (apparently the details differed from the catalogue or something) someone snaffled the last one!!! Aaghh! Anyway last night I decided to get the slightly more expensive one and did it all online. Was a lot easier than it at first looked. Kept the item in my basket until the codes came through - they took about 15 mins. Collecting from store on Monday. :)
  • We went to a larger store today and used £80 worth of vouchers to pay for a £169.97 SONY digital camcorder. All we had to pay was an additional £9.97.

We also have another £50 in vouchers left so planning on buying a digital camera with that but will order online.

It feels so good to be able to walk away from a store with an expensive product and to have paid so little. The camcorder quality is superb and we are so pleased as are expecting our first baby in July and so both a new camcorder and camera will come in very handy! Every little helps! x
