Present for the couple who have everything

I need some ideas for my sister and her husband. They are very well off and have everything. They are very particular about things like toiletries (everything has to be clinique or similar) and everything in their house matches perfectly, so don’t like buying things for the home.

I was thinking of buying them gift vouchers for their favourite restaurant, but as at their favourite one you would not get change out of £100 for a meal for 2, I am a bit stuck as I don’t want to give them something they will have to pay to enjoy.

My budget is £40-£50 for the two of them. For the last 4 years I have bought them M and S vouchers, but desperately want to get them something different.

  • Concert or show tickets?
    £/4 good bottles of wine?
    de do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar ;)
  • If they like posh things, how about 2 vouchers for them for a mini spa day (if you save your tesco clubcard vouchers you can use a £20 voucher to buy a spa day worth £80 at Clarice House. I went to one and it was lovely, you get two treatments and a two course lunch and get to keep the robe and slippers!!

Or maybe a photo session for them, I know Olan mills? do these at good prices.

    Good luck:)

  • My sister and her husband are a bit like yours. This year I am getting my sister a subscription to Good Housekeeping magazine using Tesco vouchers, which I think she'll like. Still not sure what to get brother-in-law though.
  • Cinema vouchers.
And then maybe vouchers to a restaurant/pizza chain near the cinema.
Could always wrap it up with popcorn or large bags of sweets.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Cinema Vouchers? UGC do them in £5 - £10 increments get £40 worth - sorted! :D
  • well if they already have everything they need why not buy them something from the oxfam catalogue as you can buya variety of stuff to donate such as a goat or books for a school, food, crops, etc and of course it all for charity.
only 10 more work days this year!
  • what about a 'different' hamper?
Have a look at Green and Black, they do a hamper with organic chocolate and organic ale.
  • what about a charitable gift in their names? i've seen such things as paying to plant an oak tree and paying to buy a goat in a developing country.
would they appreciate an annual membership to something like the national trust? plenty of days out nationwide for free.
    good luck
