Nokia 6230 MMC card locked for no reason

Hi

Can anyone help me please. I don't know why, but the MMC Card on my Nokia 6230 suddenly became locked for no reason.

I don't know the password because I don't believe one was ever set and it won't let me back in without one.

I have heard that you can read a text file which will give you the password on the MMC Card, can I read it on any card reader for MMC or is it via the phone only?

Anyone know how to get round this problem?

try this link, although you will need to find somene with a symbian based phone (nokia 7650 etc)

this works in 6600, but i dont know if you can get decent file explorer for 6230
1. Open file explorer. (SeleQ, FExplore, AppMan, whateva')

2. Search for MMCSTORE

3. When you find it, send it to yer PC

4. On PC, open the file with Notepad, or any word processor

5. You should see your password by then.

you wont be ablw to get the file explorer on the 6230 so you'll have to do it on a friends phone ie, 7650 or the 6600

Thanks I will try that. All I need to do is find a friend who has one of those first.
