Make sure the sorting office know that if you're not in to collect a package in person, then they are to leave a card for you to go and collect it. If they don't, then create merry hell.
It worked for me, but took a while for the message to sink in. Threatening to go to their watchdog generally gets a quick response.
They are alwyas supposed to leave a card if you're not in to take a package inperson, you shouldn't have to leave specific instructions with the sorting office.
That said, I have had to complain so many times about parcels being left in open view by the front door they now know my name at the switchboard!
We've also had a lot of letters just plain not arrive, important stuff too :mad:0 -

Whats a meshcard?
It is a card that postmen use to stick over the gobs of people who insult them by questioning their integrity

There could be any amount of reasons why stuff does not arrive and I am sure postmen have better things to do than hide behind hedges dabbing perfume behind their lug holes!

Could it be because both requests are from the same computer and their sites recognise this?0 -
I used to have an Irish lady who was the postie for the road I live on, she was great, too great the Royal Mail put her on another route, 3 years later we still have Agency Staff, last week my Cash Card was stolen from the Post (Nicely done, resealed envelope after taking out the card).
I have complained so many times to Postwatch and Royal Mail about the bunch of either blind or thieving gits on the route, but do I get any where, of course not. No one is interested, I am not a business, I am just the poor sod that has to put up with it. I wish it was like the American Mail, you see in the films, where they collect from you're home and seem to always bring good news, and no Bills :rotfl:My Mind wanders, if found please return.0
