    Cheers for that link

Gawd I feel really silly now LOL But I honestly belived that to be true  after reading that link I think I must have been really lucky on the odd occassion I've returned items which are not faulty :j

You probably came across really convincing because you believed you were right. I went into Tescos to buy a jar of peanut butter, checked the price; 95p; and then they tried to charge £1.15. I stood up to them telling me that it was £1.15, and managed to pay 95p. Felt really stupid when I looked again on the weekly shop and I'd read the wrong label...

And I'd never have pulled it off if I'd have known I was wrong.

Apologies for the digression. I stopped shopping in HMV a long time ago, I agree that their pricing just doesn't seem to acknowledge that they have any competition at all. Still, they seem to always be packed. The power of a brand name...

HMV (and virgin) are expensive. But sometimes their sale stuff is good value. I rarely go in though, as I can't stand their loud music and narrow aisles

Me, I can stand their loud music and narrow taste...
  • i have to confess that i take a trip up come sale time:
every so often they come up trumps, but i have seen lots of things i want for massive prices, cd albums £20 and the like.
usually they have stuff for £5.99 in the sale and thats a good buy, i used to get videos on 2 for £10 or 3 for £15, best one was the ultra rare kevin smith film clerks on a 2 for £10 with amelie (vhs).

even hmv have bargains but music zone is the best chain if you have one, otherwise its supermarkets and indie stores for me :-)
things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then ;)
BH is my best mate too, its ok :)

I trust BH even if he's from Manchester.. ;)
