Virgin services check you bank accounts

i have been looking over my bank statements recently and noticed that VIRGIN mobile have been taking £10 a month for the last 13 months for a mobile phone that I have never had or gave permission for the money to be taken from my account, I have called the virgin call centre and they have no record of this account existing, this scared me slightly so I went to my bank and stopped everything to do with this FRAUDALANT account. I have spoken to the call centre again and because this account doesn't seem to exist on their systems I have to get all the info together and then send a letter to a mobile from media and show them that the money has been taken every month for 13 months???
I am just leaving this message to get everyone to check the Virgin invoices that come through and to check that they aren't being over charged for services that have never been used or being charged for services that aren't even yours, this seems to be quite common after talking to a few friends and neighbours.
CHECK YOU STATEMENTS TO MAKE SURE THAT VIRGIN AREN'T TAKING MONEY THEY SHOULDN'T

Actually I would go further, everyone should. check their bank statements every month for unexplained transactions. The fraudsters don't just set up debits with Virgin.0

13months!!!!!......when there are ways of checking your account online instantly(thereby not having to wait for a piece of paper landing on your doormat each month)
Truly can't believe that someone can be overcharged/fraudulently charged for this length of time and not know about it.0
