Is there anything I can do to avoid this?
Im on a £15 a month contract with T Mobile and have been with them for a while, even been to retentions department last year to get this deal of 300 mins + 300 texts with a phone and unlimited internet. However, since I have been on the contract I have never had a £15 bill come through. This month I've had enough and complained that I was charged £70+ for going over my contract by an apparent 80 mins. The email they replied said that if you want to leave, call 150 and go to retentions, but a £100 bill will have to be paid on top of the £70.

And your point is ...
Do you dispute these 80 minutes or admit that you used them?
If the latter, do you accuse them of not waiving the charges? This seems to be a very odd accusation.
Also, it is hard to believe that they charge almost £1 per every minute outside the monthly allowance.0 -

Your ability to decipher is obviously much better than mine. :T0 -

I dont see the problem?
You used a service outside of your allowance which tmobile are then asking for their money for.
When wanting to leave the £100 charge is because you are tied into a contract and that is the remainder of what you owe tmobile0
