Yes..i suppose the claim culture hasnt helped. In times past,it was commonplace to fit used appliances in just the same way as it was commonplace to substitute generic parts on central heating boilers for example. Those days have gone for the most part. I suppose it boils down to whether you are fitting it in your own home or if its a customer,whether he/she is trustworthy and not the sort to whine and whinge..as you suggest..often not worth the bother.Not going to argue with that but having done so I still don't know any who would be prepared to take the risk of installing it.
