    Yes..i suppose the claim culture hasnt helped. In times past,it was commonplace to fit used appliances in just the same way as it was commonplace to substitute generic parts on central heating boilers for example. Those days have gone for the most part. I suppose it boils down to whether you are fitting it in your own home or if its a customer,whether he/she is trustworthy and not the sort to whine and whinge..as you suggest..often not worth the bother.
    Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
