Am I being petty over this?

You will probably have to end up knocking him out...some people understand that..It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Can we have a pic..I'm struggling to visualise this situation.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

I have a similar issue, our property has two allocated space, one outside the front of my house, one around the back in a shared car park. We only have one car so rarely use the other space, people are often parking in it. Often means that if i want to use it i cant.0

Whoever invented shared driveways should be shot! I would NEVER buy a house with one...
Why not just start using your driveway instead of parking infront of the house? You do realise it will make your insurance cheaper??? (and you can give that reason to your neighbour as to why you want to now park on the drive).Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
The way I visualize it is that the OP's garage and driveway is at the rear of the house which is why she prefers to park on the road in front of her house. I would be interested if the previous neighbours whom she shared the driveway had similar issues or whether they didn't have a vehicle at all.0

Relieved to see ppl believe you're not being petty about this as I have something similar. Although it is not the person I share a drive with that is the one causing problems but neighbour the other side with her own separate drive. She believes my drive, my neighbour's drive and the access road to get to them are all for her and her visitors' use and not ours.
She puts notes on my guests' cars that are parked on MY drive asking that they not park there. Has been going on for nearly a year. Can't wait for her to move. She's extremely aggressive.
Hope you get it sorted OP.
Stone her! It's the only way0 -
Take a look at any new housing development, working out whose driveway is whose is often very difficult without a decent plan with plot numbers!
Driveways should be in front or to the side of houses, go look round most new housing estates and you'll see how many cars are on parked on the road because whilst each and every house has an allocated parking space (or two) they'll be placed somewhere designed to cause maximum inconvenience (well actually designed to squash most number of houses per sq m onto and) and hence aren't used.0 -
Patience has won out in the end :j
My NFH has moved out *does a dance*.
I can now use my garden and drive without getting yelled at
I'm that happy I'm thinking of holding a bbq for all the neighbours traumatised by this woman.Inside this body lays one of a skinny woman
but I can usually shut her up with chocolate!
When I thank a post in a thread I've not posted in,
it means that I agree with that post and have nothing further to add.
