Issues with Used Car from Garage! What are my rights?

Just an update with this....

2 weeks 2 days on, the Garage still has my car and i this ppor excuse for a courtesy car. They are waiting on a piece, no doubt sourced cheaply hence the delay(the salemans were openly moaning about the cost to fix the previous issue in front of me when I collected the car).

So...

Purchased in full 6 weeks ago. MOT'd, serviced before collection and came with a 3 month warranty.

Had it for 2 days, fan issue...

Received it back a wk later...

Had it for a week this time, revving issue...

Had a courtesy car in bad condition for 18 days

Can I get my money back, do I have any rights???

One good course of action is to make a detail log of all the events.The whole scenario. What happened when, who said what , what you were promised by who, any out of pocket expenses you have incurred. Keep this as a running document . Issue a copy to the seller and update and re-issue it if the nonsense continues. Their knowing you are keeping detail records will focus their mind remarkably . You do have rights , the sale of goods act requires items to be of merchantable quality and fit for purpose unless specifically stated otherwise.
